To provide practical training and basic theoretical
knowledge in the handling, feeding, housing and care
of cats, dogs, poultry, fish, small caged birds and
reptiles.

Internal Assessment

Students must complete each portion of the
assessment.

- Assignment (from Topic 14, 15 or 16) 15%
- Test (from Topics 1-2 and 5-9) 15%
- Practical test (from Topics 2-4, 8 and
10) 30%

Grading on Practical Test
70-100% PASS 0- 69% FAIL

- Final written test (2 hours) - covering all
topics 40%

To pass the subject students must gain an aggregate
of at least 15% in Sections (a) and (b) and they
must pass the practical test
