This unit describes the skills and knowledge to investigate future study or employment pathway options, establish learning goals, and create a formal pathway plan, including skills development to access investigated pathways. Future pathway plans will be developed in discussion with an appropriate support person.

It requires the ability to research and identify future study or employment pathways, develop a learning plan to support identified pathways and compile a learning portfolio of supporting evidence over time.

The required outcomes described in this unit contribute to the achievement of Australian Core Skills Framework indicators for Learning at Level 5: 5.01, 5.02.

This unit applies to those with future personal, learning, employment and/or community participation goals. Learners at this level work autonomously and use and evaluate a broad range of support resources.
