Description
To enable learners to apply principles in instructing exercise in water
programs. Learners will be trained to conduct safe and suitable fitness
programs to cater for a wide range of groups.

Examination:
Learners are required to score at least 60% in
the written examination 50%
Practical Presentation:
Each learner is required to present a brief segment
(lasting five to eight minutes) of an exercise in
water class 70%
Practical Assessment:
-must be conducted by an approved assessor of the Fitness Institute of WA
-observation of best practice: classes conducted by qualified instructors
totalling ten hours is to be undertaken
-field placement - in conjunction with industry the on-the-job training
component will comprise ten hours of practical teaching of: initially segments
of and progressively the entire older adult class. On-the-job training will be
conducted by a qualified instructor.
