Description
To provide training the in the communication skills needed in a variety of fabric care work contexts. On completion, the learner will be able to use effective listening, speaking, reading and writing skills relevant to production.
Range of Variables
The length of time taken to complete a module will vary, depending on factors
such as teaching method used, knowledge and skills at entry and individual participants’ abilities.

This module provides for delivery on-the-job, off-the-job or by a combination of on and off-the-job training in a variety of modes.

Some areas of content may be common to more than one learning outcome and therefore integration may be appropriate.

The following delivery methods are suggested as those most likely to achieve the module outcomes:

- case studies
- written and oral exercises
- role play
- small group work
- practical tasks

Resource Requirements

The learner will be provided with access to:

- an environment and resources appropriate to the aspects of dry cleaning production
- workplace products
- a series of routine tasks to perform individually or in teams.
