Range of Variables
This module is designed to be taught off-the-job. However, it is expected that candidates will have on-the-job seagoing experience covering a proportion of the learning outcomes. This module will be delivered in full-time mode.
This module is designed on the assumption that most of the learners will achieve the learning outcomes specified in the allocated nominal duration.
Delivery strategies should be selected to reflect the nature of the learning outcomes and the needs of the candidates and should include a series of lectures and simulation or live exercises.
Delivery strategies should build on the existing knowledge of the candidate. Some areas of content may be common to more than one learning outcome, and thus integration may be appropriate which may reduce the nominal hours.
