Description
To introduce the student to the computer-aided
drafting software "Autocad" running on a micro-
computer installation.
To enable the student to produce simple engineering
drawings using the software and hardware provided.

Lecturer-in-Charge of the students to set and assess
two assignments as follows:
1 Intermediate Assignment
On completion of 10 hours of study, student is
to have produced, on a disk, a drawing
consisting of lines, arcs, circles, tangents,
text and simple dimensions.
2 Final Assignment
On completion of the full course of study,
student is to have produced, as a hard copy
from a plotter, a drawing consisting of all
entities included in assignment number one and
also including: blocks, polylines, different
line and text styles, hatching, polygon,
dimensioning.
