Description
To enable learners to assess and map a number of soil characteristics that
relate to the chemical, physical and biological fertility of soils for
agricultural production. Learners will then be able to make informed decisions
about managing their soils on a land area as a basis for sustaining
agricultural production and minimising off-site effects.
Range of Variables
This module will be best presented as a concise delivery of the general
concepts supported by specific information that is relevant to the learner’s
region. Slides, audio-visual presentations, field visits and measurements and
observations in laboratory-type facilities will complement the delivery.
