To extend the student's theoretical and
practical knowledge in turning, milling
and machine-grinding processes.

To introduce the student to Numerical
Control Machine Tools.

Practical - Progressive assessment of
working procedures and practical
tests 100 marks

Trade Technology - Written paper will
consist of questions, governed by the
Trade Technology objectives, in this
document.

Practical Testing - Practical testing and working procedure assessment, will be
governed by the practical objectives contained in this document.

Certificate of Trade Studies

The Certificate percentage for each
Semester Stage, shall be the Trade
Technology Mark.

To be eligible for the Certificate of
Trade Studies, the apprentice must
reach a pass standard in both the Trade
Technology Mark and the Practical Mark,
for each Semester Stage.

A Privileged Re-Examination
may be granted on the recommendation of
a Board of Review, when the practice
assessment is satisfactory.
