To introduce learners to drawing methods, materials, tools and techniques.
To assist learners to creatively express concepts through objective and
subjective visual form.
To develop technical and perceptual skills in conjunction with creative
expression.
To develop powers of observation, selection and critical evaluation in relation
to practical skills.
To provide a comprehensive understanding of the basic principles of design and
their relationship to a range of drawing forms.
To provide an understanding of drawing processes within the context of
contemporary art practice.

Folio to be assessed by a panel on the following criteria:
- idea development
- practical skills
- concept interpretation
- demonstrated ability to appreciate the holistic approach of this
course by integrating skills and theories learned in concurrent modules.
