Description
This module covers the skills required to understand spoken information texts that are predominantly monologic. The texts could be talks/presentations from guest speakers, radio, TV or online programs or teacher-created texts adapted/modified from authentic texts.
It also covers the skill of presenting spoken information to an audience. The text is essentially monologic, although the learners would need to be able to respond appropriately to questions from the audience. These skills enable learners to function in community, work and further-study contexts.
