In order to gain a pass in Typing Secretarial
Applications, the student shall complete an
integrated typing assessment requiring
resourcefulness and organisational ability, given:
- a maximum time allocation of two-and-a-half hours
- originating input, comprising seven or eight related
typing tasks in corrected manuscript from author's instructions, including
standard paragraphs
- a dictionary and correcting devices
- the opportunity to correct errors and retype where needed
- sufficient stationery to attempt each question twice, so
that a useable letter, and six or seven other typewritten documents, may be
produced or composed, and a checklist/reminder sheet completed.
