Description
To provide Mechanical Engineering Associates with
basic Electrical knowledge, for future limited use
with respect to mechanical drives, their control and
instrumentation and more particularly in the
understanding of solutions to various problems,
arising in situations such as project meetings, and
on job collaboration with electrical personnel.
Emphasis should be placed upon practical
applications in lecture laboratory situation,
examination problems should be oriented towards
practical situations.

A pass is required in both the examination and
laboratory components.

Laboratory assessment may be carried forward one
year.

A minimum of six laboratory reports are to be written in line with the standard
formal report writing procedures of the Study Area.

Laboratory sessions should be chosen from those
areas detailed in the student objectives and
depending on equipment availability.
