Description
To enable students to extend an independent work program.
Range of Variables
Intended teaching strategy to include:
Flexible mode of delivery to allow for field trips (e.g. to clay deposits, ceramics manufacturers, artists studios) and firings.
Timetable considerations to allow for the involvement of beginning students in running skills workshops and providing individual demonstration.
Exposure to work by Aboriginal artists whose artistic practice includes work with ceramic materials.
Consideration of Aboriginal symbols, themes, subjects and designs using basic shapes and marks.
This unit aims to be open ended and skills and techniques should be introduced and developed in response to particular design ideas.
