Description
To prepare learners to undertake 50919 Fieldwork Placement 001 in a residential
agency or residential program providing services to young people.
To provide opportunity for learners to discuss issues, observations and
experiences during and following 50919 Fieldwork Placement 001.
To provide opportunity for learners to clarify their expectations of 50919
Fieldwork Placement 001 and of working in residential services to young people.

Range of Variables
1 This module should be presented in tutorial/workshop format with
opportunity for participants to ask questions, clarify and discuss
instructions, information and issues prior to undertaking 50919 Fieldwork
Placement 001.
2 Information given verbally about procedures, requirements and policies
for undertaking fieldwork placements should be reinforced with written
information and guidelines.
3 Participants should be given opportunity to raise issues of concern
and share experiences and observations after the completion of 50919 Fieldwork
Placement 001.
4 A session should be held during the placement (about halfway) to
provide an opportunity for participants to share observations and experiences
and to support each other, and to clarify and discuss any assignment
requirements.
5 In addressing all the learning outcomes in this module attention
should be given to principles of eth
