Description
To provide the learner with the knowledge and skills to demonstrate
Occupational Safety and Health practices associated with electrical tools and
equipment.
Learners will focus on the responsibilities of rescuing a person in contact
with a live electrical situation and carry out testing and reporting procedures
on electrical equipment and domestic installations.

Range of Variables
This module integrates theory and practice. An emphasis on applying the
theoretical principles and processes in a simulated “on-the-job” practical
situation is essential. The instructor for CPR must be fully qualified to
Instructor level in First Aid.
Nominal duration: Half module
A half module is designed on the assumption that most of the learners will
achieve the competencies specified in 18 to 20 hours.
The length of time taken to complete a module will vary depending on factors
such as teaching method used, knowledge and skills at entry and individual
learner’s ability.
On-the-Job Training:
For consolidation the material in this module should be linked with and
complemented by on-the-job skills practice or other equivalent experience.
