Description
The unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge to examine concepts and operation of how a program is executed on a computer and how programs are developed.
It requires the ability to write and execute a program in both a script and a modern programming language. The unit also introduces the concept of frameworks and tools to develop secure code as well as tools that can be used to protect the execution of the program.
The unit applies to persons who are working as cyber security practitioners responsible for writing and working with software scripts in a cyber security environment.
No licensing or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of accreditation

Write and interpret software scripts
- A comparison of common scripting languages used in cyber security code development is performed
