Description
To provide learners with:

Module 4/9: Metal Ceiling and Wall Cladding

- An ability to identify and select metal ceiling and wall cladding
suitable for industrial and commercial buildings.
- An ability to correctly identify metal ceiling and wall claddings
suitable for designated industrial and commercial building tasks.
- A detailed knowledge of regulations, standards and associated codes of
practice applicable to industrial metal ceiling and wall claddings (including
AS 2180).
- A detailed knowledge of the installation requirements for metal
ceiling and wall claddings (and insulation materials) for industrial and
commercial buildings and a practical understanding of installation methods and
techniques and manufacturers specifications.
- A comprehensive revision of the requirements for safe work ladders and
work platforms.
- A demonstrated ability to correctly and safely install metal ceiling
and wall claddings to comply with end users’ and manufacturers’
recommendations and specifications on a wide range of actual/simulated
industrial and commercial building roofs, including:
. straight walls
. curved walls
. single/variable height walls
. internal and external walls.
- A comprehensive revision of protective clothing/equipment requirements
and OH&S requirements applicable to installation of metal ceiling and wall
claddings.
