Description
To enable the learner to actively participate in the quality assurance programs
of an organisation.

Range of Variables
This module has the capacity to be delivered either on- or off-the-job. In
either case, the learner will need to have access to suitable computers with
spreadsheet, word processor and statistical software.
Where possible, team teaching can be used to assist learners to learn how to
apply statistical skills to practical problems. A statistics teacher and
applied subject instructor, (eg. a quality assurance chemistry teacher), could
work together to provide an effective learning environment.
It is envisaged that the module will be adapted to local needs, with the
emphasis on learning outcomes and case studies reflecting the type of course
and the needs of local industry. Some examples may be found in Section 4 of
the assessment package for this module and in references given in the
“Suggested Learning Resources” Section on page 8.
Projects involving workplace applications should play an important ro
