This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to read and write personally relevant words, phrases and a short sentence, with assistance, and to develop very basic decoding and writing strategies in authentic adult reading and writing contexts.
The unit of competency is applied by individuals who engage with and create extremely simple, short texts for personal, work or educational purposes.
