Description
To consolidate, extend, and integrate the knowledge and skills gained from
senior high school core biology or the module AAA700 Introductory Biology.

The module is designed to complement the modules:

55074 AAA701 Biological Techniques A
55075 AAA702 Biological Techniques B

and to provide a basis for further study in Anatomy and Physiology, Botany,
Genetics, Biochemistry and Zoology.
Range of Variables
This module is delivered off-the-job.

It is intended that this module would be delivered over a minimum of 12 weeks.
The major focus of this module involves the development and integration of
theoretical knowledge. Appropriate delivery strategies are integrated
theory/practical classes with an emphasis on demonstrations, excursions,
computer simulations and displays to support theory. Learning activities will
be structured to promote teamwork and problem solving abilities. A 10:1 learner
teacher ratio is recommended for the integrated theory/practical classes.
