Description

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of tasks related to servicing tyres of light vehicles, heavy vehicles and/or motorcycles within an automotive service and repair business.

The Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Operations is intended to prepare new employees or recognise and develop existing workers who are performing servicing tyres of vehicles in an automotive service or repair business.

Packaging Rules
To be awarded this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in fourteen (14) units of competency, consisting of:
- four (4) core units, plus
- three (3) specialist elective units in one of the selected specialist groups relating to occupational streams, plus
- seven (7) general elective units, of which
- up to seven (7) elective may be chosen from the elective units listed in the qualification outline
- up to three (3) elective units may be chosen from a Certificate I qualification or above in this Training Package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course, provided that the units chosen contribute to the vocational outcome of this qualification and do not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification.
