A total of 20 units of competency must be completed:
- Complete all 15 core units in Group A
- Select 2 additional units from Group B
- Select 3 additional units from the Animal Care and Management Training Package and/or endorsed Training Packages

Electives chosen must be aligned to the qualifications at AQF level III, IV or V and must be relevant to work undertaken in the Animal Care and Management sector.
