Packaging Rules
To be awarded Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures), competency must be demonstrated in seventeen (17) units of competency comprising of:Mandatory core units: seven (7) units
Mechanical and Structures technical units (Mandatory) eight (8) units
Mechanical and Structures technical units: two (2) units of competency in accordance with packaging rules.
These units must be chosen as specified under the conditions set out below, while observing the pre-requisite requirements and packaging rules defined.
NOTE: Additional units that may be required by Mechanaical or Structures personnel to meet enterprise and/or licensing needs:
MEA408B: Inspect and repair aircraft wooden structures
MEA409B: Inspect, test, repair and re-cover aircraft fabric surfaces
Please refer to the MEA07 Aeroskills Training Package as there are conditions regarding selection of electives.
1. Core Units

Candidates must choose all eight (8) of the mandatory elective avionic technical units and a further 2 elective 2 Mechanical and Structures technical units.

Candidates must select two (2) of the following units in accordance with the following packaging rules:
MEA304B: Remove and install non-pressurised aircraft structural and non-structural components
OR
MEA317B: Remove and install pressurised aircraft structural and non-structual components
MEA305B: Remove and install aircraft fixed wing flight control system components
OR
MEA308B: Remove and install rotary wing rotor and flight control system components
