Description

This is an entry level qualification that provides the competencies required by swimming pool and spa technicians to routinely maintain swimming pools and spas in domestic, commercial and public settings.
The qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.
Occupational titles include:
Swimming pool and spa maintenance technician.

To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:
Eighteen (18) units of competency:
- twelve (12) core units
- six (6) elective units.

The elective units must ensure the integrity of the AQF qualification level and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome and are to be chosen as follows:
- all six (6) elective units may be chosen from the elective units listed below
- up to three (3) elective units may be chosen from other Certificate II or Certificate IV qualifications in the CPP Property Services Training Package, or another current Training Package or accredited course provided they do not duplicate the outcome of another unit already chosen for the qualification.
