Elements and Performance Criteria
1. Plan and prepare for operations
- 1.1 Obtain, interpret and confirm work requirements
- 1.2 Access, interpret and apply trip pipe documentation and confirm work activity is compliant
- 1.3 Identify and minimise environmental issues and potential hazards, and assess and address risks within scope of own role and according to workplace procedures
- 1.4 Select and wear personal protective equipment required for work activity
- 1.5 Communicate with other personnel at site according to work requirements and confirm briefings and handover details are communicated and received
- 1.6 Confirm availability and status of necessary permits to work according to operational and legislative requirements
- 1.7 Confirm availability of necessary third party utilities according to operational requirements
2. Prepare to trip tubulars
- 2.1 Check safety lines, ropes and air hoists/winch lines
- 2.2 Check equipment for safety and operations
- 2.3 Line up trip tank if applicable to equipment in use
- 2.4 Prepare pipe racking system
3. Trip and rack tubulars
- 3.1 Assist in tripping in and out using required techniques based on the lifting equipment and tripping method used
- 3.2 Rack and store tubular based on the lifting equipment and tripping method used
- 3.3 Record tasks where required
