This unit describes the skills required to analyse risk against an organisation's operational environment. It includes establishing the security risk context and compiling a security risk register by identifying, analysing and evaluating risk against a security plan.This unit applies to those working at an operational level, in specialist or generalist roles across all areas within an organisation.The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to, particularly those related to the security plan.Those undertaking this unit would generally work independently and as part of a team using support resources as required.
