Description
This unit describes the skills required to enter and exit an ammunition/explosive ordnance storage area or facility in a remote or home base area. It includes the requirements to ensure that safety standards are applied and that security is maintained during the conduct of tasks within the facility.This unit applies to those required to enter, carry out tasks in and exit an ammunition/explosive ordnance storage area or facility in a remote or home base area; and is required to maintain safety and security during entry, operations and exit.The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to.Those undertaking this unit would work independently and as part of a team, under direct and/or indirect supervision, use discretion and judgement, and take responsibility for the quality of their output. They would perform specific tasks in a limited range of contexts.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to unit at the time of publication.
