This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to research information about garment design and construction influences and assess the impact of those influences on current work practices. Influences may be cultural, economic, environmental, historical, political, social or technological.This unit applies to individuals working in design and construction roles.No licensing or certification requirements exist at the time of publication. Relevant legislation, industry standards and codes of practice within Australia must be applied.
