Description
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to develop and manage an alternate water supply plan.It includes identifying and harvesting alternate water supply sources, analysing data and implementing the developed plan. It also includes analysing system performance, liaising with stakeholders and reviewing and refining the plan.This unit applies to leaders with responsibility for the management of alternate water supply processes. Those undertaking this units would work autonomously, leading staff, while performing sophisticated tasks in a range of familiar contexts.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

1 Plan for alternate water supplies
  • 1.1 Identify, interpret and synthesise alternate water specifications according to regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
  • 1.2 Identify alternate sources of water as an opportunity to contribute to environmental sustainability
  • 1.3 Identify and analyse legislation, workplace procedures, environmental requirements and system constraints impacting water obtained from alternate supply
  • 1.4 Identify hazards, assess risks and implement control measures according to workplace procedures
