1. Plan the job
  • 1.1 Determine installation process using work order and job specifications
  • 1.2 Identify, select and inspect braking system components to be installed
  • 1.3 Select tools and equipment required for the job and check for safe operation
  • 1.4 Access assembly and installation information from manufacturer specifications
2. Assemble and install braking system kit
  • 2.1 Carry out assembly and installation activities according to workplace procedures
  • 2.2 Assemble braking system kit, referring to appropriate sources of information
  • 2.3 Install braking system kit using installation procedures that comply with manufacturer specifications, tolerances and adjustment requirements
3. Test braking system
  • 3.1 Access and interpret test information from manufacturer specifications
  • 3.2 Carry out system tests and inspection according to manufacturer specifications or workplace procedures
  • 3.3 Record braking system assembly and test results
4. Complete work processes
