Description

This course is intended to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to perform the following tasks associated with entry level workforce participation:
- Self-esteem (being able to complete a qualification)
- Practical skills to complete general maintenance within remote communities where there is limited access to trades persons
- Knowledge to effectively communicate with trades persons
- Improved literacy through learning
- Opportunities to participate in the workforce of the Agricultural, Automotive, Construction and Resources Industries.

Schedule
Certificate I in Industrial Skills is configured around three (3) areas: Core units, Industrial Skills Support units, and Elective units. The core units are in three (3) groups (1A, 1B & 1C), the Industry Skills Support units are in three (3) groups (2A, 2B & 2C) and there is one (1) group of electives. The course has minimum hours of 250 and maximum hours of 450.
