To equip learners to provide therapeutic intervention to individuals and groups served by the industry in hostels, nursing homes, group homes, hospitals and community settings as directed by an allied health professional.

2. ELECTIVES
Learners are to select modules to the nominal value of between 80 - 90 hours (depending on electives selected) from Group 1 electives. The following elective modules are recommended. Learners may choose other modules that are more suitable to their workplace, as appropriate. As for the Traineeship, which this program is the off-the-job component, learners are encouraged to undertake the workplace module which is not covered in his/her own workplace GROUP 1
