Allow the student to assist the occupational therapist to focus on individual adaptation to illness, injury and disability through adaptation of the environment, modification of the 'tools' of daily activity, work and leisure and skill development.
The art and science of occupational therapy, include the four components of occupational therapy - the person, the therapist, the environment, the occupation.
Occupational therapists are concerned with the performance skills of individuals; self-care, work and play/leisure and the motor, sensory-integrative, cognitive, psychological and social dimensions of the person's life may be the focus of attention.
