State Implementation and Classification
Description
The purpose of the course is to prepare learners to mentor Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples to support social, community, and employment outcomes.
The course is aimed at Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People and non-Indigenous learners who need to develop skills to mentor Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People in the community or in a workplace.
The Certificate III in Mentoring Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People will benefit Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People and the broader community by supporting access to community engagement, employment, facilitating cultural safety in community settings and/or workplaces, and by increasing self-governance in community settings and employment retention in workplaces for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People.
