Description
To increase the confidence of mature-age women seeking to return to employment, education and training.
To broaden the awareness of the personal, educational and vocational options of mature-age women beyond traditional notions of what is approriate for women.
To increase awareness of issues affecting women's lives and choices and to equip women with communication skills to deal with these issues.
To provide students with technical and mathematical skills that will enhance their employment and vocational education options.

VET Info Notes
This course is best delivered by staff who have empathy with the Access
and Equity areas and who have experience teaching within Women's programs or
have demonstrated a commitment to improving women's employment and/or further
learning.
A guiding philosophy for providing this course, is to present a positive role
model and encourage participation and enthusiasm from women who wish to return
to study and investigate new career directions in technology and related areas.
Maximum support and assistance should be made available to participants in
order for them to achieve the outcomes of this course and seek employment or
continue with further study pathways.

The WADTE Women's Bureau Bibliography and Audio Visual materials may be
of assistance
and are available at campus libraries or through inter-library loans.
