Description

This course aims to provide a general education. That is, initial skill development in reading, writing and numeracy and skill development in a variety of areas to meet personal needs and to facilitate participation in the community, or other workplace and further education and training. On successful completion of this course a participant will be able to:
- clarify project goals with an appropriate support person, plan, carry out and evaluate a project
- develop and document a personal study plan and gather a portfolio of evidence with support
- read and interpret short, explicit and personally relevant texts
- create simple, personally relevant texts
- apply simple mathematical knowledge in familiar and everyday situations
