Description
To assist young school leavers to gain basic
practical and academic skills that will enable them
to compete more readily for apprenticeship
opportunities.
To provide the students with technical training to the equivalent of Stage 1A
of the TAFE segment of two nominated apprentice courses.

of Pre-Trade Studies, the student must reach a pass standard in all subjects of
the course.
2 New Apprentice Training and Assessment Scheme NATAS Each student
studying the
trade-related 1A subjects will need to have a NATAS Assessment Form completed
for each trade subject.
3 The hours allocated to the subjects 98002 and 98003 are minimum only
for all courses. In this course the subjects 98002 and 98003 are allocated 210
hours each.
