1 Work Experience Real Work Program
Pre-apprentices are encouraged to attend work experience (Real Work Program)
for up to 240 hours per year. The work experience program is supplementary to
the award requirements of the course.
The work experience program is to be co-ordinated by the college with the
approval of the Director of the college. The mode of attendance is at the
discretion of the college co-ordiantor.
2 Completion of the Horticultural modules in this course will provide
the learner with the off-the-job component only. Competent performance will be
achieved when the learner can practise the skills and meet the requirements of
recognised competency schedules (eg. TTS).
3 CREDIT TRANSFER
Upon successful completion of the technical training section of this course,
the learner will be credited with the relevant modules in the Horticultural
Apprentice programs or related Horticultural courses.
4 CERTIFICATE I OF PRE-APPRENTICE STUDIES
To be eligible for the award of Certificate I of Pre-Apprentice Studies
(Amenity Horticulture) the learner must reach a pass standard or competence in
all modules of the course.
