Description
To provide skill development so that students are
able to apply organisational and keyboarding skills
to produce confused manuscript in order to be able
to simulate the role of a typist in an office by
keying-in (creating, saving and printing) five
pieces of work, including a one-page letter, a memo,
a continuous display passage, a general display and
a table.

In order to gain a pass in Typing Proficiency, the
student shall display resourcefulness and
organisational ability, given:

- a maximum time allowance of two hours;
- five related typing tasks in corrected typescript or
confused manuscript;
- sufficient stationery* to attempt each question twice so
that a useable copy of a letter in any appropriate style (no file copy) and
which may include a C (copy notation); a memorandum with a distribution list at
the bottom of the memo if two names will not fit at the top of the form; a
continuous display; a general display document to be attractively and correctly
formatted; and a table are produced within the time allocated.
