Internal Assessment
Presentation
A ten-minute presentation aimed at a nominated audience, integrating various
types of audio-visual aids appropriate to the topic and at an appropriate level
of sophistication. The visual techniques should be used to clarify complex
concepts or procedures which would be difficult to explain
verbally. 15%
Report Outline/Proposal
Prepare an outline of the report, using memo format
(approximately 1½½ pages), defining the topic
and purpose of the report. Clearly state research
methods, sources of information, and structure of
the report. 5%
Analytical Formal Report
Write a formal report of approximately 700 words
content, aimed at convincing or persuading a
specific audience (e.g. client, company, peers,
etc.) to adopt one of a number of alternatives (e.g.
principle, philosophy, product, training package,
etc.). 20%
Researched Technical Article
Write a concise disciplined technical article with a
specific purpose for a particular audience. For
example, feature articles on current trends. The
article should be approximately 500 words, and show
evidence of research. Include footnotes, list of
references, bibliography, table of contents,
synopsis and index, where appropriate. 10%
