Description
To provide learners with the skills, knowledge and attributes to safely perform general assessment skills in clinical settings within their role as Aboriginal Primary Health Care workers.
The skills included in this module are commonly used for the early detention, and screening for illnesses which are major causes of morbidity and mortality in the Aboriginal community.
It is important that health workers are not only able to perform procedures, but also have an understanding of the reasons for their actions, are aware of normal and abnormal assessment results, follow up and safe practice.
