Description
To provide the knowledge required to operate the marine radio telephone
equipment fitted on coastal vessels both in normal and emergency circumstances.
Range of Variables
Off-the-job theoretical training in all aspects of the module. Practical
training in the operation of HF and VHF radios.

Passing a one hour theoretical examination paper approved by the Department of
Transport and Communications.

Practical assessment of the ability to tune an approved HF radio and transmit a
test message.
