Description
To provide competency-based training to develop communication skills to deal effectively with conflict in the workplace.

The main focus of the module is on developing communication skills to facilitate constructive responses to conflict in the workplace. The module is based on the premise that conflict can have positive and creative outcomes if handled constructively. The module focuses on helping learners recognise various approaches to dealing with conflict. It emphasises the development of communication skills to allow them to deal with workplace conflict, whether or not they attempt to resolve it. Strategies for achieving an agreed outcome, however, are covered by "NCS 009 Negotiation Skills". This module is dealing with communication strategies to prevent conflict escalating in the workplace.
