Description
To enable students to identify the major exponents
of contemporary dance works from World War II to the
1980's.

To provide students with the necessary exposure to film and video material to
recognise the significant contemporary dance works produced by selected artists.

To encourage students to analyse and discuss
contemporary dance, with reference to historical
influences, ideological and psychological
significance, and cultural implications.
