Description
To apply the basic surveying skills from Surveying 1A, 1B and 2A to engineering
and mining surveying.

At least 50% of the available marks in the end of semester written test and in
the practical test is required in order to pass this subject

Practical tasks: 40%

-detail survey
-compute and set out a compound curve by radiation
-set out batters
-set out combined horizontal/vertical curves including super-elevation, batters
and earthwork volumes
- 3 wire levelling

Part of the assessment for this module is that learners complete a minimum of 2
days field experience with a surveyor on a relevant survey project, in the
semester or semester break immediately prior to studying this module.
