To provide the theoretical and practical education and training in surveying
such that the graduate may gain employment at the para-professional level
within the career structure of the surveying industry.

To satisfy the academic requirements for corporate membership of the
Institution of Engineering and Mining Surveyors (Australia). Hence the course
emphasises the acquisition of skills and practices associated with applied
engineering and mining surveying.
