To enable students to acquire a basic understanding
of the principles, techniques and processes of
photography.
To allow students to gain an understanding of darkroom control over
photographic film and paper.
To develop an understanding of the camera as a
graphic design tool, and to effectively use it as a
means of visual communication.
To introduce students to the photographic studio,
and to gain a basic understanding of tungsten
lighting techniques.
