Description
Scope
This qualification provides competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain fire protection systems in multiple, commercial and industrial premises.
^ From 1 July 2022 the elective units HLTAID001, HLTAID003 must no longer be delivered and will be replaced in the Packaging Rules by the units HLTAID009, HLTAID011 - for more information see: https://asqa.gov.au/news-events/news/reminder-about-superseded-hlt-first-aid-units

The requirements for granting this qualification will be met when competency is demonstrated and achieved for:- All the Core competency standard units, defined in the Core Competency Standard Units table below and
- A combination of Elective competency standard units to achieve a total weighting of 370 points in accordance with the Elective Competency Standard Units table listed in the qualification outline. Please refer to the Training Package for the full details.
1. Core Units
All sixteen (16) core units must be completed.
2. Group A - Imported and Common Elective Units
Units may be chosen to a maximum of 170 weighting points from Group A.
