Description

This qualification provides the knowledge and skills needed to work as a Dental Technician. It covers the construction of dentures, bridges, crowns and other dental appliances and the repair and modification of these appliances.
This qualification is suited to Australian Apprenticeships pathways.

- twenty two (22) core units
- five (5) elective units

A wide range of elective units is available, including:
- Group A electives which are recommended for culturally aware and respectful practice
- Other relevant electives listed
- Units of competency to address workplace requirements and packaged at the level of this qualification or higher in Health and/or Community Services Training Packages
- Where appropriate, to address workplace requirements, up to two (2) units of competency packaged at the level of this qualification or higher in other relevant Training Packages
