Description

This qualification defines entry-level skills and knowledge to assist workers entering employment within the boating services industry and includes the ability to work safely on marine craft and follow work procedures to maintain the marine environment.
In some jurisdictions, units in this qualification may relate to licensing or regulatory requirements. Licensing and regulatory information is included in the relevant units of competency.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. Local regulations should be checked.

Packaging Rules
The requirement for achievement of the MEM10222 Certificate I in Boating Services is the achievement of competence in seven (7) units of competency made up of:
- all four (4) core units of competency listed below and
- three (3) elective units as described below.

One (1) elective unit may be chosen from other endorsed Training Packages and accredited courses where those units can be applied in a boating services environment and are available for inclusion at Certificate I.

No other descriptor can be used.
